Ideahits Ambassador Program Terms (Draft)
1. Nature of the program
The Ideahits Ambassador Program is a single-tier referral arrangement. Ambassadors may earn commission only on clients they directly refer through their unique referral link or code. There is no multi-level structure: ambassadors do not earn on other ambassadors’ referrals, downlines, or recruitment. Multi-level / MLM-style expansion is permanently out of scope for this program.
2. Eligibility and approval
Participation requires application and manual approval by Ideahits. Ideahits may approve, reject, suspend, or terminate participation at its discretion, including for fraud, brand misuse, or breach of these terms.
3. Commission
- Default commission rate: 20% of the paid order amount (ex-VAT where applicable, as recorded on the order).
- Commission is calculated only when a referred client’s order is marked paid.
- Product default: commission applies to the referred client’s first paid order only, unless Ideahits notifies otherwise in writing (lifetime scope is an open product decision).
- After payment, commission sits in a hold period (default 14 days) before it becomes eligible for payout, to allow for refunds and disputes.
- If an order is refunded, related commission is clawed back (including after payout where recovery may be required).
- No guaranteed minimum earnings. Results depend entirely on valid paid referrals.
4. Attribution
- Attribution uses a signed referral cookie with a limited window (default 30 days).
- First-touch attribution applies: a later referral link does not reassign a lead already attributed to another ambassador.
- Self-referrals (including referring your own email/account) are invalid and generate no commission.
5. Payouts
- Payouts are processed manually (e.g. bank transfer or PayPal) once cleared balances meet the minimum threshold (default £25).
- Ambassadors must provide payout instructions through the approved channel. Ideahits does not store full bank card numbers in the main application database.
- Ambassadors are self-employed / independent for tax purposes. Ideahits does not operate PAYE or payroll for ambassadors. Ambassadors are solely responsible for declaring and paying any tax due on commission income. This is not tax advice.
6. Termination
Ideahits may suspend or terminate an ambassador for fraud, spam, brand misuse, or other material breach. Cleared but unpaid balances for legitimate (non-fraudulent) orders will generally still be paid; commissions tied to fraudulent activity may be voided and clawed back.
7. Brand use and anti-spam
- Ambassadors must not present themselves as Ideahits employees or agents.
- No spam, bulk unsolicited messaging, or misleading claims about Ideahits services or earnings.
- Paid advertising on Ideahits brand terms (e.g. bidding on “Ideahits” in search ads) is not permitted without prior written permission.
8. Account ownership
Advertising, analytics, and customer data related to Ideahits clients remain Ideahits property. Ambassadors receive reporting on their own referrals and commissions only.
9. Changes
Ideahits may update program rates, hold periods, thresholds, or these terms with notice via email or the ambassador workspace. Continued participation after notice constitutes acceptance.
